Thanks, Craig - and note in particular, three things are on the agenda, and
on Ashley's summary:

 

1.       Amicus Brief Request

2.       Velasquez v. Cascadia Homes

3.       King County v. Abernathy

 

Her summary is attached and needs to be completed before including in the
handouts for Monday. See attached. She's added a note for the King County v.
Abernathy, but it needs to be summarized for the report when included in the
handouts for the meeting attendees.

 

Whoever volunteers to lead on the agenda can refer to Ashley's emails
summarizing her thoughts on the amicus brief and read (or refer to her
summary on Velasquez), and whoever can review KC v Abernathy can read (or
refer to the summary) on the handout.

All - As I understand it, Ashley is certain that she will not be available
to present the Judiciary Committee report to the Board.   Could one member
of the judiciary step in and provide the report in her absence?

Committee Report and a copy of a case (King County v. Abernathy) that needs
summarizing.
 
I am currently serving on a jury for a 3-week criminal trial (I know, I
can't believe I didn't get booted).  I don't know if I'll be able to attend
the Feb. 12 meeting.  Can one or two of you finish the case summary and give
the Judicial Report at the meeting?  I would appreciate it!  Ashley.
