[Board1] Schedule for Monday, May 19, 2025, WLTA Business Meetings

Good morning, Convention Goers!

 

Monday afternoon on May 19, will be set aside for WLTA Business meetings, as
follows:

 

*	There will be two meeting rooms set aside for the WLTA. 

 

*	The agents will meet in the larger of the two rooms, with Anthony
Carollo, Chair of the Agents Section, presiding. 

 

*	The underwriters will meet in the smaller of the two rooms, with
Megan Powell, Chair of the Underwriters Section, Presiding. 

 

*	I believe the convention registration desk will be in the same lobby
area.

 

*	Both meetings will start at 11:30 and run until 12:15, although they
might not take that full time. 

 

*	Agents will remain in their room, to be joined by underwriters when
the Underwriters Section meeting ends. We might be able to start before
12:15. 

 

At 12:15 the Board meeting will start in that larger room, with all members
and interested parties attending, and Jim Blair, President, presiding. 

 

*	At this time and based on convention registration information and
proxies that have been submitted, Board members attending in person, or by
proxy, will constitute a quorum for conducting the Board meeting. 

 

*	All Committee reports (including by the Agents Section and
Underwriters Section on their two meetings), will be done during the Board
meeting. However, the Nominating Committee report will be deferred to the
Annual Meeting.

 

The Annual Meeting of members (and interested parties), Jim Blair presiding,
will start when the Board meeting adjourns. (There is no set time for the
start of the Annual meeting.)

 

*	. The election of officers for 2025-2026 will occur at the beginning
of this meeting.

 

*	We expect that some attendees may come and go if they intend to also
participate in the Idaho Land Title Association meeting. I believe that is
set for about 2 p.m. but am not sure of the time.

 

*	The one vote of significance during the annual meeting will be on
the adoption of revisions to the WLTA bylaws, a draft of which has been
circulated by separate email.

 

The Annual meeting should be done by 4 or 4:30, giving plenty of time for
attendees to get ready for the convention reception and dinner.

 

I understand there will be refreshments available during the Board/Annual
meeting.
