[Membership1] New WLTA Member Applications

Good Afternoon Membership Committee -

We've had two new applications come in that we'll discuss and vote on at the next meeting in Suncadia ahead of the convention in May. Both applications are attached here for your viewing pleasure.

The first is from Michelle Frain, for an Affiliate Membership, on behalf of First National Bank Alaska. It sounds like they may be in attendance at the convention this year, but not as a vendor at this point (perhaps in future years!). You should still say hi if you see her! Upon approval, they would pay the full $300 dues for an affiliate membership.

The second application is from Bill Bergschneider/Upward Title & Closing and would be a full new agent member. He and Mike McCarthy will be in attendance at the convention and said they may sit it on the Board Meeting. Nice guys! So as to not surprise any of you, we will also be voting on the pro-ration of the 2026 dues for this member (assuming a 'Yay' vote in their favor). As explained to me by George, when we have a new member join mid-year, we typically will pro-rate the dues for the current year. First, the existing dues are calculated based on the budget, then pro-rated based on the number of months left in the year (7 months after the month of May, if my calculations are correct!).
