I agree with Lori. And in fact, I believe we can actually support this,
since it allows for de-titling of mobile homes on leased land. That will
increase the potential for transactions, including real estate mortgages
(new purchase and refinances) for the full value of the leased land that
includes the value of the mobile home as real property.

 

I recommend "support" on this.

Good morning all-

 

I just reviewed HB 1191 this was one that George and I had helped work on
with Alma Weber for Rep Peterson. It appears they took the comments that we
had provided to clean up some of the language around defined terms.  The
bill is regarding MH being classified as real property when title is
eliminated and that would include allowing MH to title eliminate on leased
land. This stemmed from a conversation we were having regarding co-op
communities being created from MH parks. I do not see anything that would be
of concern for us with this.
