While some Education Committee members have indicated availability today or
tomorrow for a Zoom call, it has also been suggested that considering the
time constraints for signing a contract with Lynnwood for mid-October, that
at this point we just go ahead and do that. The Committee would then meet
either before or after the November 20 Board meeting, but not urgently, to
discuss other issues, such as whether (and if so, where) we might have an
Eastern Washington seminar next year, virtual options, etc.
Sean and I may have another Zoom meeting tomorrow morning, so options
coinciding with the Lynnwood Event Center requirements are limited, and Rick
is not available either today or tomorrow.
Let me know if you feel it important to meet right away.

Lynnwood is available October 10, 2026. ALTA One starts two days later.
Holding the seminar on the 10th might affect anyone planning on travelling
to Scottsdale a few days early. But most folks would be travelling on Sunday
the 11th. I had asked

I had asked about September 12 and 19 and October 3, 10, and 24. The date
we got was the only open one. I didn't ask about the 19th because I wasn't
aware ALTA had changed ALTA One from Tues-Fri to Mon-Thurs. If the 19th
would be better for folks, I can look into it.
We don't have a hard deadline to accept the date. But it would need to be
nailed down soon. We will owe a deposit of $2,079 as soon as we book it.
Is the general thought that we should definitely do at least one seminar in
2026 and in Lynnwood? If that's the case and the October 10 date sounds
good, I can work on arrangements with the convention center.

Lynnwood is about as convenient as it could possibly get for me, so I'm
selfishly not against that. And I do think we need to do some deep-dive
research about online/virtual options that will take more than a couple
