It does look like it will be necessary to collect and pay the tax. (We will also apparently be charged a B&O tax later, but can claim an exemption for that. (By the way, this exemption apparently applies to convention registration income, but not seminar registration income.)<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:windowtext;mso-ligatures:none'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:windowtext;mso-ligatures:none'>The registration platform needs to calculate the tax and reflect it at registration.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:windowtext;mso-ligatures:none'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:windowtext;mso-ligatures:none'>This process is proving more difficult than expected. We are working directly with two registration platforms. One does this automatically – yay! But it has the wrong tax rate – Boo! They are working on that. The other one is working on this as well. Either platform, once the correct rate is worked out, ought to be acceptable.
