[Conventioncommittee1] Convention Questionnaire Draft

Attached is a draft questionnaire for the conventions.

 

1.	I have avoided any "comments" in individual answers. The results
should be easily read on a spreadsheet; comments make it very difficult to
read one. Therefore, if you think something should be added or fleshed out,
let's try to make it a separate check box item, rather than invite expansion
on an existing item. I can ask for comments as a separate email, which
should also provide the relative anonymity that Ashley suggested.

 

2.	I've included background information to refresh attendees as to how
it works. In this regard (not withstanding what I've included here) I
suggest assuming that there will be no separate underwriter/agent dinners on
the first night. We haven't had them for some years, and all of the
underwriter agent reps that I talked to much preferred not having to add
that element to their convention agendas. To that end, I'd suggest deleting
what I've highlighted in yellow.

 

3.	I've assumed golf is a given. The golfers should say what their
preferences are, although non-golfers can self-identify. 

 

4.	Who do we send this to? Let me know your thoughts.

 

a.	Only to attendees at the last convention (I have email addresses).
This may not get to everyone who would normally be interested in attending,
but didn't/couldn't attend this year
b.	Our members (management level and above; not "all" members) and let
John Holt send to Idaho members and Carolyn Payne send to Oregon members. 
c.	However, I suggest that we not include vendors. They will want to
come, or not, no matter where it is held, or when. I do have a list of
vendors that I can send this to, but again I would not include them on this
survey.

 

5.	Finally, I would like to talk to John Holt before sending this out.
We are asking Idaho attendees as well as Washington attendees. Also, he
might have some suggested questions.
